About Me

Bubbles and needles is a reference to a description of me as a needle in a world full of bubbles.  I tend to be snarky and cynical in contrast to the bubbly optimism of others.

This blog is a forum for me to post thoughts on my bubbles though.  This includes miniatures, purses, technology, literature, and neon colors.

Miniatures have always been an obsession of mine.  Whether it is mini cough drops, coin purses shaped like mini wallets or handbags, or handheld computers, I fixate on them.  It cannot just be small, though; it has to mirror it's full size counterpart in proportions and detail.

I covet purses.  They are the object by which I can carry all of my miniatures and everything else that I need.  While I love certain designers, it's more about the quality and details that they bring and love a bargain too.

An IT person by day, new technology is a must for me.  I'm somewhat a gadget freak and love things that are new, different, and innovative.

I am a bookworm.  My collection ranges from contemporary to classics.  In the past couple of years, I've finished Nami Mun's Miles from Nowhere, Marcel Proust's Swann's Way, Jose Saramago's Death with Interruptions, and a variety of works from Lewis Carroll.

Neon colors instantaneously entice me.  My favorite color is neon pink and will stop in the middle of stores to shout out pink when I see it.

This is it for now; some bubbles and probably a lot of snark.
